Privacy policy

Sports Biz IQ collects only the information needed to run the daily game, save your results, and improve the experience. You can play without an account. We do not sell your personal information.

• Game activity: answers, score, completion time, round played, and streak data.
• Guest identifiers: a random browser identifier stored locally and converted to a one-way hash before it reaches our database.
• Account information: email address, authentication provider, and public leaderboard handle when you choose to sign in. We also collect your country and sports-business industry and job function. If you provide it, we also collect ZIP or postal code. If you opt in, we record your marketing email and newsletter preferences. These fields support aggregate audience reporting and are never shown publicly.
• Product activity: game views, starts, answers, completions, shares, question accuracy, and active decision time. This excludes time spent reading answer explanations.
• Technical data: basic request information such as IP address, device or browser details, and security logs processed by our hosting providers.

We use information to operate and secure the game, validate scores, maintain leaderboards and player statistics, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, understand aggregate usage, and communicate about your account.

If you opt in, we may also send occasional marketing emails about Sports Biz IQ or the Playbook Strategies newsletter. Marketing communications are voluntary, never required to play, and you can change your preferences anytime in Account settings.

If you sign in with Google, Google shares basic account information such as your email address and profile identity with our authentication provider. Sports Biz IQ does not receive your Google password or access your Google contacts, files, or other unrelated account data. Google's use of information is governed by its own privacy policy.

We use Supabase for authentication and database services and Vercel for application hosting. These providers process information on our behalf under their respective security and privacy terms. Local game progress and guest statistics may also be stored in your browser.

We share information only with service providers needed to operate Sports Biz IQ, when required by law, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transfer. Public leaderboards show your chosen handle, score, time, and answer pattern—not your email address.

We retain account and game data for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain historical statistics, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may play as a guest, clear local browser data, change your public handle, or request access to or deletion of your account information.

Sports Biz IQ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy as the product changes. The effective date above will identify the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through the service when appropriate.
